Here is a pic of my latest rug. Im not a very good picture taker and the colors always look brighter in the pic than they are in person. This was a fun rug to hook. Its a pattern by Janice Johnson of Wooly Woolens.

Happy 4th!

Hope all of you are having a fun filled 4th of JulY!!!! We are enjoying the company of family and friends and working on things i need to get done. We are having new siding and a roof put on in a couple weeks and im making some final decisions on the colors. WHEW! Lots of choices!!! Ill post some before and afters when we get started.

I finished a small rug and i tried to get it to look really muted, only used worms from already cut from other rugs ive done and didnt cut any new wool and cut most of what i used by hand. I enjoyed don this one.

My Amazing Dad.....

This is one of my favorite photos of my Dad a few months before he paased away...he looks so healthy and happy and was blessed with almost 5 years of good health before he got sick again. He was a wonderful man, friend, parent and a shining example of christian love that touched anyone who knew him. I adored him and miss him more that i can say...love you Daddy...

COMPANYS A COMIN!!!

I am so very excited for my friends Lisa and Sylvia from Ohio and my cousin Cheryl from Ky and my friend Debbie to be coming to my house this Thursday for 4 days of just good ole fun! we will hook, laugh, eat, shop relax and just whatever out hearts desire to do! I sooooo enjoy having these girls! You have safe travels and see you soon!!!!! CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!

OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING....

Good morning, It is a glorious morning here in southern Indiana. Sun shining, birds singing and NO RAIN!!! Had my coffee out on the porch and just enjoyed the quiet. Ive felt abit stressed lately and needed this time to myself. I am really blessed but sometimes you need to take a minute to just sit....enjoy your day!

Whos the Boss???

Well Happy Saturday to all of you. Its kinda cool here today and i have a to do list a mile long, but its not warm enough to get anything done outside. My daughter Brittany and her doggy Delilah have been here for a few days on their spring break and Delilah and my doggie Gracie just dont see eye to eye on who is in charge! The first pic is of Delilah looking out the window at Gracie laying on the bench on the front porch. All of you who know Gracie can see she is not a happy camper!!! They get into really loud fights, but we think we have found ways to kelp them get along. I love them both!!!!!!!

Monday Hooking!

I hope you all have had a good Monday cause i sure have! Today the Hickity Pickity Hookers met and had a fabulous time at Mary Janes cabin. This is the most wonderful place to meet and just relax and get away from all the hustle and bustle of life. Mary Jane is THE BEST COOK! we had beans, corn cakes, fried potatoes ,slaw, peaches, hot tomatoes, and the most delicious cake you can imagine. Oh by the way she grew most of the things she served and cooked them on the wood stove in the cabin. It was such a nice time..... I did take some pics of rugs and other stuff, but they were all too dark. Ill have to work on that! until next time......

Giving this a try!

Well Im finally going to give this a try after much encouragement from my daughter and friends. Several of my very good friends have blogs and i love to follow them. I am a rug hooker and have found my true love of he art. Ill post some pics soon, but for now im giving needle punch a try and have found it to be quite fun also! my husband calls it mini hooking!
